These terms govern your use of SkillBoss at skillboss.dev, operated by Hamdi Hadrich, based in France. By using SkillBoss, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
1. The service
SkillBoss is a daily DevOps challenge — a timed, escalating “boss fight” across DevOps tracks. There is one run a day, the same boss for everyone, and the official run is verified through your LinkedIn sign-in. SkillBoss is currently free to use. It is a practice and skill-building tool for learning — it is not a certification, and passing a run is not a professional qualification.
2. Eligibility & your account
You must be at least 16 and able to form a binding agreement. You sign in with GitHub or LinkedIn; you are responsible for your account and for keeping the credentials of the provider you use secure. One account per person — if you sign in with GitHub using the verified email address of an existing LinkedIn account, the two are linked into that single account rather than creating a second one. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account.
3. Fair play & acceptable use
The point of SkillBoss is an honest daily rep. So you agree not to:
- use bots, scripts, automation, or scraping against the service;
- cheat, exploit bugs, or manipulate scores, streaks, or the leaderboard;
- attempt more than the one intended run per day, or circumvent limits;
- reverse-engineer, resell, or copy the questions and content;
- disrupt, overload, or probe the service (report vulnerabilities responsibly to us instead).
Scoring is authoritative on our server. We may void results, streaks, or leaderboard entries obtained in breach of these rules.
4. Intellectual property
SkillBoss, its name, logo, questions, and content are owned by Hamdi Hadrich and protected by law. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use SkillBoss for your own learning. Your personal data remains yours — see our Privacy Policy.
5. Third-party services
SkillBoss relies on LinkedIn for sign-in and on our hosting provider to run. Your use of those is also subject to their own terms; we are not responsible for third-party services.
6. Disclaimers
SkillBoss is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee that the content is error-free, that the service is uninterrupted, or that it fits a particular purpose. Nothing here is professional, legal, or career advice.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hamdi Hadrich will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of SkillBoss. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.
8. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these terms or harms the service or other users. You can stop using SkillBoss at any time and request deletion of your account (see the Privacy Policy).
9. Changes
We may change the service or these terms. We will update the effective date above and, for material changes, give clearer notice. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of France, and disputes are subject to the courts there, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
